The Power of your Words
Prv. 18:21. ' Life or Death is in the Power of the Tounge."
Your Words are forming a Healthy Body & Life.
“Abraham begot Isaac.” These are three words that many pass over as they read their Bibles, yet these words contain a powerful meaning. Many have heard this scripture and recognize it from the Bible, but they may not have truly “begotten” it. The word begotten is formed from a two-part meaning.
First is the word be, which literally means “to exist” and represents a powerful force of existence. Second is the word gotten, which comes from the root word got or “to bring into possession.” If you’ve gotten something, you have received it. When the Bible says that Abraham begot Isaac, it literally was saying that Abraham recognized God had created his son, Isaac, and he brought him into the world we live in by his words or by speaking what God had already ordained.
I believe that today we must begin to rise to the occasion, understanding that our words (even the small ones that we may pass over) have the ability to become frames, not only for our bodies, but also for our entire life. These frames affect the decisions we make and the world around us.
You may ask, “Are you telling me that what I say can affect my physical body?” Yes, that’s exactly right. A friend of mine knew a young man who from his youth continually said, “I’m going to die before forty.” And that’s what he did. He died at thirty-nine. Why?
Proverbs declares that the power of life and death are in the tongue (18:21).This is why Jesus is called “the life” (see John 14:6). When you recognize Jesus is your redeemer, his life, will be manifest through you.
In the time of global transition we all need the glory of God. The key is to realize that His glory can be manifested in and through your life, and the words that you speak. How?
When you put God’s word, the living Bible, in your mouth, and begin to speak his truth, the outcome is the manifestation of God’s great power. The book of James states that if a man that can control his tongue can control his entire body. (See James 3:5.)You can faithfully begin speaking the Word of God over your body today. As you release your faith, I believe you will receive the literal life changing power of heaven. You did this when you made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life. Matthew 21:22 declares that if you believe you will receive. Our mouths validate what we say and likewise what we eat. Psalm 34:8 says, “Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.” In other words, put God’s word in your mouth and see what will happen.
Begin to receive today, by recognizing that God’s Word is the truth. As you do, a mighty transformation will begin to occur, affecting your life from the inside out. God’s Word is a life giving Word and his blessed promises will keep you strong, vibrant and healthy:
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones” (Proverbs 3:5-8).
